Every year, the Spartanburg Area Chamber of Commerce holds a business expo at the Spartanburg Memorial Auditorium providing a venue for small businesses to expand their exposure in the community. For years, Sherman College has participated in the expo by having an exhibit booth and talking to people about chiropractic.
The main attraction of the college booth this year was a putting green. Visitors were given a chance to putt for a prize. The winners received a golf ball and a package of tees with the Sherman College logo printed on it. The booth also featured a display with photos of celebrity chiropractic patients. Using polaroids, local photos from among booth visitors were added. Everyone received information about Sherman College, including health center brochures and several fliers. Many people were interested in hearing about the college and chiropractic.
Special thanks to the following people who helped make the event a success: Lisa Buckley, admission counselor; Brad Ennis, 11th quarter student; Lisa Miller, director of communications; Tim Revels, vice president for business and finance; Marggi Roldan, development and alumni affairs coordinator; Donna Smith, admission counselor and Stephanie Smith, former admission counselor.
