Dr. William Harris, an acclaimed philanthropist and chiropractor, recently donated a check for $12, 185 to Sherman College of Straight Chiropractic, increasing his total donation to $32, 185. The donation represented a surplus after completing all of the 1997 matching fund grants of the Foundation for the Advancement of Chiropractic Education (F.A.C.E.). F.A.C.E., founded in 1978 by Dr. Harris, is a non-profit organization funded by Practice Consultant, a chiropractic consulting firm. F.A.C.E. has funded over $3 million in chiropractic research projects, and construction of academic buildings and research centers.
Currently, Dr. Harris serves as president of F.A.C.E. and Practice Consultants. In addition to professional honors from Trinity University, Parker Resource Foundation and the Georgia Chiropractic Association, Dr. Harris has had personal and professional associations with Dr. B.J. Palmer, the founder of chiropractic, and was the personal chiropractor to the legendary Napoleon Hill, author of Think and Grow Rich.
