Newlin named to International Who's Who of Professionals

Sherman College of Straight Chiropractic Vice President for Enrollment Services has recently been named to Who's Who of Professionals.

Newlin holds a B.S. in sociology from Converse College and has completed graduate work in higher education administration and student personnel services at the University of South Carolina Spartanburg. She has been employed at Sherman College for 23 years and in the admissions department for 17 years. She has also served as director of development.

Newlin is a member of the Carolinas Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers, the College News Association of the Carolinas, serves as the international student advisor; and served as the Council on Chiropractic Self study Chairperson and Accreditation Liaison in 1994 and 1997. She has received the Distinguished Service to Sherman College Award in 1981, 1990, 1994, and 1997, Who's Who Among International Student Advisors in American Colleges and Universities in 1989 and 1990; and Who's Who Worldwide in 1992.

Newlin resides in Green Creek, North Carolina, with her husband Baron and their daughter Larson and son Barclay. Daughter Stewart is a senior at Appalachian State University.
